If You’re a Writer, You Need to Listen to This Podcast
This isn’t an advertisement. I promise.
I know what you’re thinking. I wasn’t thinking this was an advertisement until you said that, but now I am beginning to think it’s an advertisement…
Okay, forget that I ever said that. I’m excited about something, and if you’re a writer I think you should be excited about it too.
It’s a new podcast I’ve found, and I absolutely love it. It’s How I Write, hosted by David Perell.
If you don’t know David Perell, he’s a writer, teacher, and (obviously) a podcaster who also runs a writing school called Write of Passage. I’ve been following him for a few months now and am already a fan of his work.
But back to the podcast. What I love about How I Write is that it’s one of the only podcasts I’ve listened to that gives an open, honest portrayal of different authors’ writing methods. It’s an authentic, genuine look into the struggles and pitfalls that authors face.
Why do I think that’s so cool? Because to be a great writer, you need to hear from other writers. You need to see what other writers have done to achieve success; you need to see what mistakes other writers have made so that you can avoid making those same mistakes.
