It’s the latest development from the company that already created ChatGPT—a development that will transform the way we generate content. And while it won’t be available to the general public until later this year, videographers are already buzzing about the possibilities.
So how does this apply to writing?
Let’s take a look at an example in a pre-Sora world. You’re sitting at your desk, writing a fictional short story, and you’re trying to craft a scene in your mind. You’re trying to describe a landscape, characters, the weather, the colors, the sights, the sounds, the smells.
You’re trying to convey something intangible (a scene from your imagination) into tangible words on a page so that your reader can be transported to a different time and place.
As anyone who has tried to write fiction knows, it’s hard to do. Really, really hard.
